"Turn Chase" as the 13th project made by Jason is another indie game, now with turn based system. You are one, there are many of them. Chasing hostiles, spawning barracks and firing turrets. You are not a hero, you can't fight with them for long. Reach to the exit in all 28 levels, avoid chasing enemies, fight for survival and gain attribute points for completing maps on all three difficulties to become more resistant! Don't forget, there is another pack of achievements to collect!

Greetings! I'm in the process of gathering my paid Pico-8 games to add to my handheld device (Powkiddy RGB30) and wondering if there's a .p8.png version of Turn Chase that I could get? I looked at the Mac version to see if the P8 file was part of the distro but didn't see it.

Thanks for any assistance !

I just beat the very last level that I had left, and it won't register my 100%. After beating the last level it takes me to the points assignment screen. But the game is trying to award me 2 points (an expert level) and I only have room for assigning 1 more point. It won't let me progress unless I assign that last point, the only thing I can do is quit the game. Then when I restart the game, it doesn't register that I beat that last level...

FYI I also had the same problem as the other commenter the first time I tried to 100% the game. I re-played normal levels to up my stats for the 3 expert levels I had remaining. Then When I managed to beat an expert level it didn't register as complete due to inability to assign the awarded points to the already maxed stats.

That's why the second time around I was very careful just to beat every level once, and I still had the same issue pop up.

BTW I never would have thought I'd get 6+ hours of gameplay out of a pico8 game. Great job.

Another issue, this isn't good. I never thought this project will need so many fixes. The game must gave you one point more (but how?). All skill points must be used to fulfill all stats. Maybe it comes from the bug reported earlier. OK, many thanks for reporting it and your good opinion. Most important is that you're reporting this. Actually, I have a lot of work, but I'll certainly release an update.

I had the same issue. The game keeps on giving the points if you replay the last level you finished...

Okay, so I absolutely love this game. I've been playing almost nonstop for the past week. But there is a minor issue. If I go back and replay a level I've beaten already, like doing Plague over and over to try and get an achievement for killing so many enemies, I continue to get skill points from each win. And then I end up maxing out my stats while there are still levels that I haven't completed. But it won't let me apply my stats and move to the next level if I have unspent skill points.

Really thanks for your engagement (and also good opinion). I spent entire month to test everything trying to avoid that "surprises" like this. If it's possible, write me step-by-step how to provoke this issue and in the next update I'll try to eliminate this bug.

So, like, after I noticed that I could replay levels and get more skill points, I started a second file and just replayed level 1 a bunch until I had, like, 30 skill points. And then I just played through the game like normal from then out and, if I got more skill points after I had maxed everything out, it just wouldn't let me leave the attribute screen.

Also, I don't think it gave me a skill point for level 5 when I played it on normal.

Not possible. I tested it many many times and the game must give you additional point after beating "new" level (plus new achievements).

Yeah. I went back and realized that my right arrow key was being a little sticky. It upped my health without me noticing.

It seems that checking if this has been completed earlier fails. One question: did you receive additional point everytime when you beat the same level?

Yeah. Every time. Except when I would get 2 points for doing a level on expert
